Rooipoort Nature Reserve

Rooipoort, established in 1893 is one of the oldest conservation areas in South Africa. Only 50km’s from Kimberley, this reserve boasts diverse types of plains game and three of Southern Africa’s major ecological systems, namely the Karoo and Kalahari scrub and grasslands.

Rooipoort has 32 kilometres of riverine habitat, which supports not only the game but abundant birdlife too.
