Experience the Northern Cape, South Africa

The park manager for Namaqua National Park, Bernard van Lente, says he expects wild flowers to appear at the end of July, or the beggining of August.

"The whole Namaqua area is green, and a quick inspection shows that most of the young plants are flowering annuals. The occasional daisy and Varkiesknol (Conicosia sp) is coming out. There are already nice spots of yellow Oxalis sp. at Skilpad."

Skilpad Wildflower Reserve (a section within Namaqua National Park) received more than 90mm of rain during June.
