The Trans Augrabies MTB race is a three-day, mountain-bike stage competition that runs through the spectacular Augrabies Falls National Park and surrounding areas, including Riemvasmaak, Kakamas, Keimoes and Kanoneiland.
Participants ride through the vast, arid landscape of the Green Kalahari and vineyards of the Gariep River, popularly known as the Orange River. The route navigates through various types of terrain, including gravel tracks, jeep tracks, single tracks and tar roads.
While the race is on, supporters and family can visit food stalls, restaurants and wine cellars along the Open Africa Kokerboom Food & Wine Route.
The Trans Augrabies MTB race takes place from 23 to 25 June 2018.
