Experience the Northern Cape, South Africa

The Trans Augrabies MTB (mountain bike) race takes place from 13 to 15 June 2020 and covers a total distance of more than 247km. The three-day stage competition runs through the spectacular Augrabies Falls National Park and surrounding areas, including Riemvasmaak, Kakamas, Keimoes and Kanoneiland.

Participants ride through the vast landscape of the Green Kalahari and the vineyards of the Gariep River, popularly known as the Orange River. The route navigates through various types of terrain, including 136km of gravel tracks, 85km of jeep tracks, 14km of single tracks and tar roads.

The race also enables participants to encounter game as well as to cross the Orange River on a floating bridge. While the race is on, supporters and family can visit food stalls, restaurants and wine cellars along the route.
