The 2015 Richtersveld Wildrun takes place in the /Ai/Ais-Richtersveld Transfrontier Park from 2-5 June.
The four-day run covers a total distance of 150km and terrain includes a mix of desert, rocks and climbs. Challenges competitors face include heat, resistance on sandy terrain, as well as issues that come with the remoteness of the location.
This year’s event has been restricted to 80 runners and entries have closed, but supporters are welcome.
Bernard Rukadza won last year’s event in a time of 13:30:36 and this is the record to beat.
