Tutwa Desert Lodge is a serene sanctuary situated in a 16 000ha private game reserve between the Green Kalahari and the mighty Orange River.
Tutwa Desert Lodge is decorated with organic, muted colours, with polished floors, high ceilings as well as original artworks. The cool and spacious interiors of the lodge provide an oasis of tranquil luxury, coupled with a private wilderness safari offering that encompasses 24km of Orange River frontage.
The game reserve is a source of life and bounty in the wild, consisting of an ancient desert and several path crossings created by game, making it highly likely for guests to encounter wild animals such as antelope, giraffe and zebra in their natural setting. You will also see abundant birdlife and rare flora on your game drives, accompanied by professional guides.
Other activities visitors can look forward to include nature paddles, and interactive conservation experiences. Visitors can also visit the lodge’s world-class leopard conservation project for an unforgettable experience in a wildlife sanctuary.
