Skitterland Guest House

This building houses five luxury suites, namely Sagittarius, Aries, Libra, Taurus and Hibernia.  The first four suites pay homage to the item that put Sutherland on the map, namely SALT or Southern African Large Telescope.  The latter is called Hibernia in honour of the original name of the building.

The suites are equipped with a plasma television, DSTV, fireplace (except Sagittarius), heaters, under floor heating and tea/coffee making facilities.  Each suite also has electric blankets, dawn duvets and woollen blankets.  Safe undercover parking is available for each unit.

For your hostess, Helanne, it is a special treat to welcome guests with a glass of muskadel from her private collection just so you can feel extra welcome.

Cuisine

In this area well-known for its cuisine, you can expect a hearty breakfast consisting of combinations of:

• Eggs – any way you like them;
• Skilpadjies – a local delicacy;
• Sausage;
• Lamb chops;
• Bacon;
• Toasted or homemade bread;
• Instant porridge made with locally produced wheat;
• Fruit juice;
• Fresh fruits;
• Yoghurt; and
• Coffee/tea.

We do nothing in half-measures, because we go all-out to give you the very best in accommodation and cuisine.
