Developed in the heart of the Upington CBD, the Protea Hotel Oasis has been designed to create a comfortable, modern and convenient home for the discerning traveller. The compact modern building has an interior which has been designed to achieve a minimalist, trendy and contemporary look with wood and granite offset by porcelain tiling. Natural colour schemes with warm earthy tones create a refreshing feel throughout. In 2011 a full refurbishment ensured that the modern trend in the 28 standard and 4 superior rooms is kept fresh and updated. All rooms are equipped with individually controlled state of the art air-conditioning, flat screen LCD TV, 16 DSTV channels, desk tops with adaptor installations and tea/coffee facilities. 

The extension to the hotel includes 2 executive suites and 4 suites to offer the GUEST a further choice of spacious high quality accommodation which are equipped with Nespresso coffee machines and HD TV channels. Each suite's private balcony boasts sweeping views of the town and a suite assistant, who is on 14 hour call daily, to ensure GUESTS optimum comfort. The Tsamma bar and restaurant are situated in the open plan atrium which provides a cool relaxed atmosphere for GUESTS to enjoy their full South African breakfast, buffet or special cocktail.
