Kossan Private Game Reserve is located 36km from Kimberley on the N8 west en route to Upington. The reserve is 1000ha in size and is dominated by Vaalbos (Camphor bush) Savanna. The reserve has a lovely self-catering camp that can accommodate up to 12 guests. Accommodation is in 5 thatched chalets all with en suite bathrooms. The camp has 2 separate kitchen facilities which determine that there can only be 2 groups of guests in the camp at any given time. The camp also has a main lodge building which offers guests a lounge with television and a pooltable. There is also a small swimming pool to cool down in during the hot summers. Guests automatically receive 1 free game drive with every night's accommodation. The reserve is home to 14 different antelope species and also warthog and zebra. A game drive is roughly one and a half hours' long and the guests can decide whether they want to go on their drive in the afternoon or early morning. Guests can also go on additional game drives or night drives at extra cost. There are also 4 mountain bikes for hire at the camp which guests can use to explore the reserve or they are welcome to bring their own mountain bikes along.
