Goodhope Private Reserve

Rooipoort Nature Reserve

Rooipoort, established in 1893 is one of the oldest conservation areas in South Africa. Only 50km’s from Kimberley, this reserve boasts diverse types of plains game and three of Southern Africa’s major ecological systems, namely the Karoo and Kalahari scrub and grasslands.

Thuru Private Lodge

Kudu, wildebees, springbuck, hartebees, buffalo, zebra and warthog are among the creatures that roam this Kalahari wilderness. Vacillating between Kalahari, Nama Karoo and Karoo mountain vegetation, the reserves rich biodiversity supports a wide variety of fauna.

Tswalu Private Reserve

As the largest Private Game Reserve in South Africa, Tswalu Kalahari stretches over an area of 100 000 hectares. Owned by the Openheimer family, the vision at Tswalu is ‘to restore the Kalahari to itself’.
